Job Overview:

The Electrical Officer is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the company’s electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. This role includes ensuring the efficient operation of electric motors, switchgear, generators, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). The Electrical Officer will also oversee preventive maintenance and installation activities for FMCG machinery, including VFFS packaging machines, and manage air conditioning systems’ operation and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Network Management:
• Familiarity with and management of the electric distribution network.
2. Troubleshooting:
• Diagnose and repair electrical equipment, electric motors, switchgear, generators, and VFD drives.
• Troubleshoot major system failures and equipment malfunctions in electrical and instrumentation systems, including VFFS packaging machines (ISHIDA and Wolf) and local systems.
3. Maintenance:
• Perform preventive and planned maintenance activities for packaging machines.
• Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of air conditioning systems.
4. Installation and Overhaul:
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of FMCG company machines and equipment.
• Ensure adherence to safety and technical standards during installation and repair.
5. Independent Troubleshooting:
• Conduct independent troubleshooting of advanced VFFS packaging machines and related systems.
6. Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain records of maintenance schedules, equipment performance, and repair activities.
• Provide timely reports to supervisors regarding equipment status and maintenance needs.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education:
• B-Tech or D.A.E in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience:
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in an FMCG environment.
• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in working with electric motors, switchgear, generators, and VFD drives.
• In-depth knowledge of VFFS (ISHIDA and Wolf) packaging machines.
• Specific knowledge of air conditioning systems’ operation and maintenance.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Effective communication and reporting skills.

Work Environment:

• Hands-on role involving work in production and maintenance areas.
• Requires flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
